Over the past years, the servicemen policy sector has made great efforts and closely followed activities of the army and the country to propose suitable policies on servicemen and the defense homefront, including policies for troops in active service; preferential policies for national contributors; policies on the search and collection of martyrs’ remains, etc.

Addressing the opening of the course, Lieutenant General Do Can stressed that with the advent of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, there has been changes, additions, and amendments made to a number of contents in the policies of the Party, State and Army. That fact sets higher requirements for the army policy work, in both policy research, advice and implementation.

General Can also asked the defense servicemen policy staff to continue to thoroughly grasp the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, further strengthen dissemination and education to raise awareness and responsibility among people, sectors, organizations, forces to better the implementation of the army and homefront policies, gratitude activities... and more.
