Defense ministry checks preparation for Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022

The expo is scheduled to take place from December 8 to 10 at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi capital city. The first-ever event will feature numerous exhibition activities, commercial connection among participating enterprises, and in-depth technical presentations to troubleshot emerging issues during the operation of specialized combat equipment and vehicles. In addition, many cultural events will be held within the framework of the expo to introduce the Vietnamese country and people to foreign friends.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien inspected the preparation of all forces, sectors that serve the expo, contents related to the program, the performances of aircraft of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and troops of the Commando Corps. He, together with Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, gave opinions to evaluate preparation of participating forces and listened to their proposals.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense’s leadership, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien applauded efforts of the organizing panel and functional agencies of the ministry in active preparation for the expo.

The deputy defense minister stressed that the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022, hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for the first time, is one of the most important defense external activities this year. The expo brings a good chance to showcase the defense capabilities of the Vietnam People’s Army and to expand cooperation between Vietnamese defense industry enterprises and foreign counterparts.

On that basis, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien required relevant agencies and units to continue promoting highest responsibilities and collaborating closely to ensure good preparation, contributing to the success of the event.
