Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry; Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Education under the General Department of Political Affairs; and Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the MND’s Department of Foreign Relations, co-chaired the conference.
The event was also attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Manh Hung, Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry.
Accordingly, with the approval of the Prime Minister, the MND will organize the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022 from December 8 to 10 at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi.
The expo aims to enhance and expand external foreign cooperation and external defense, build trust between Vietnam and other countries, while introducing its capability and potentials in technology and weapons produced by the Vietnamese defense industry sector to people and international friends. Via the program, participating enterprises can seek opportunities to expand cooperation in this field.

Besides, it also contributes to promoting international cooperation in this field, transferring technology to produce technical and logistic equipment to meet task requirements, and looking for opportunities to export defense products, among others.
So far, 45 delegations have registered to attend the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022. They have been invited by the defense minister, deputy defense ministers, leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, among others.
During the event, Major General Nguyen Viet Hung, Major General Le Xuan Sang, and Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thang answered questions of reporters from Vietnamese and international press agencies about the expo’s organization.
Reportedly, the expo will open daily between 9a.m. to 6p.m. Meanwhile, citizens and visitors will be able to tour exhibited items and booths from 2p.m.-6p.m. of December 9 and the whole day of December 10.
The event will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be free to the public on December 9 from 14:00 to 18:00 and on December 10 all day.
