In October 2021, during his first year at Hanoi Vocational College of High Technology, Quang registered to donate blood and continued to do so regularly four more times throughout his study there, donating 250 to 350ml each time. He considered each blood donation certificate a personal milestone and actively encouraged his family and friends to join the cause. His parents and sister are also frequent blood donors.

After graduating, Quang had a stable job at a mechanical workshop in Hanoi, earning over VND 10 million per month. However, when he received his enlistment document in early 2025, he understood his sacred duty to the nation, and supported by his family, Quang chose to leave his job and voluntarily enlist in Division 363.

“Every time I donate blood, I feel happy knowing I can help save lives,” shared Quang. “It is a meaningful contribution to the community and does not affect one’s health. Now, as a soldier, I hope to continue participating in voluntary blood donation even more.”

Captain Nguyen Duc Tho, Political Officer of Company 8, praised Quang for his dedication, discipline, and high sense of responsibility. With his advanced mechanical skills, he has actively contributed to improving the unit’s environment and training tasks. His meaningful actions have been recognized by the unit’s leaders, inspiring other soldiers, especially recruits.
