After the inspection, Lt. Gen. Thai Dai Ngoc evaluated that the Phu Yen provincial Military Command directed agencies, units and localities to strictly maintain combat readiness regulations; reviewed, adjusted, supplemented, and carefully practiced combat readiness plans, while preparing personnel, vehicles, and weapons for rapid deployment to handle all situations.

Gen. Ngoc also required the command to continue to implement higher levels’ directives and guidelines on combat readiness observance before, during and after the upcoming national events.

* On the same day, a delegation of the Ministry of National Defense led by Deputy Chief of the GS Lt. Gen. Nguyen Quang Ngoc checked combat readiness work for the ceremony in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day, and International Workers’ Day at Brigade 226 and the Vinh Long provincial Military Command (Military Region 9).

The inspection showed that Brigade 226 and the Vinh Long provincial Military Command had developed concrete combat readiness plans for the protection of the holidays, in accordance with MR9’s guidance, while strictly maintaining high combat readiness, ensure enough personnel, logistics and technical services in any circumstances.

The delegation also pointed out several shortcomings and required the units to review and fully update their combat plans in line with the current situation and assigned tasks.

Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son applauded the great efforts of agencies and units in flight training and comprehensive preparation for the flying mission on national grand celebration. He also requested the units to continue to conduct professional training activities for all participating forces; well prepare detailed plans to deal with unexpected changes in weather and atmospheric conditions to ensure absolute safety.

The GS chief required the units to ensure technical support, living conditions, and accommodations for troops. In addition, pilots should strictly observe discipline and regulations, and maintain good health to successfully fulfill all assigned missions.
