Public security and military forces to foster coordination in protecting security
PANO - A delegation of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and Deputy Defense Minister, on August 17 congratulated the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Day of Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19), the 15th anniversary of “All people protect national security” festival (August 19), and the day the Ministry of Public Security received the First Class Military Exploit Order.
The delegation also saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA; Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics; representatives of military units; and Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Speaking at the event, General Giang stressed that over the past time, public security and military forces have always shown their solidarity and striven to fulfill all assigned tasks, thus deserving reliable support of the Party, State, and people. The two forces have coordinated to effectively ensure security and order, prevent and combat drug and human trafficking, and other crimes.
General Giang urged the two forces to continue to work together in implementing missions in the current context, and successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
For his part, Lieutenant General Quang thanked the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense for their support over the past years. He also hoped that the Ministry of Public Security will receive the assistance and effective coordination of the Central Military Commission, and MND's leaders in completing its tasks of ensuring social security and order and building the public security force in the coming time.
