PANO – Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, inspected preparations for the program “Army joins hands for community’s health” in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong on September 20th.
The program, co-organized by Military Hospital 175, the provincial Military Command, the Dak Nong branch of the military-run telecom group Viettel, and Regiment 726 of Army Corps 16, takes place in Tuy Duc and Dak R’lap districts.
General Nghia underlined that the program not only showed gratitude to people in former revolutionary bases, but also consolidated the military and civilian ties and beautify the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
On this occasion, the General attended the program launching ceremony in Quang Truc commune of Tuy Duc district, and handed over gifts to local people and medical equipment to the Regiment 726’s Military-Civilian Infirmary.
Previously, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia led a delegation of the General Department of Politics to work with the Central Highlands Steering Board.
At the working session, the delegates were informed of the region’s socio-economic and national defence-security situations and achievements in conducting economic development plans in combination with reinforcing the national defence-security, and in supporting the poor and ethnic minority people.
The two sides exchanged views on urgent issues need to be addressed in the Central Highlands.
