Political officer diligent for collective

Colonel Luu Nam Tien

For his military career, he spent seven years in Regiment 692, Division 301. He was gradually promoted to different positions from company officer commanding to regiment political commissar.

Because it is a regular unit, soldiers are frequently on duty, especially at weekends and holidays. Thus, he not only effectively directs his troops to implement missions, but also joins hands with them during their task performance. He said that acts of commissars are wordless orders.

At the beginning of 2015, Colonel Tien was appointed to the post of political commissar of the military command in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi. Here, he made efforts to call upon and mobilize the active participation of local authorities and businesses in the military-defense work. Additionally, he considerably contributed to success of enlistment drives assigned to his command.

At the end of 2016, he was named Political Chief of Division 301. Colonel Tien has successfully performed all missions, especially the Party and political work. He has closely worked with the division’s chain of command to build on a sound and healthy Party organization and a comprehensively strong unit.

Besides, he is very dear to his juniors, shares his experiences, and encourages them to better conduct assigned tasks.

In four consecutive years, he won the title “Officer-of-the-year at Grassroots Level.” Notably, last year Tien received merit certificates from the Defense Minister and the Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee.
