Taking place from July 15 to 20, the over-700km-long race with six stages from Hanoi to Quang Tri ancient citadel left good impression on local people by tough competitions among 14 participating teams, including two international teams, and its meaningful social activities.

During the race, the organizers offered incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers at martyrs’ cemeteries and presented gifts, scholarships and houses to policy beneficiaries and those who had rendered good service to the nation.

In addition, the organizing panel in association with the Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation handed over a medical center to Cam Van commune, Cam Thuy district, central province of Thanh Hoa.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of units, businesses and sponsors expected to work with the PAN in other cycling tournaments.

Addressing the event, Major General Pham Van Huan, Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Army Newspaper acknowledged contributions of businesses, localities, military and civilian units to the event. He said that the PAN will organize other cycling tournaments in the future to promote sports movement in Vietnam.
