Over 1,200 troops help locals overcome flood consequences

Troops giving aid to a victim in the flood-hit areas
Particularly, thousands of houses and vast acreage of crops in the localities were inundated by the flooding.
Apart from helping locals ease the consequences of the flooding, the Military Commands of Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa provinces and Air Defence Brigade 573 under MR 5 sent 582 troops, militiamen and 28 cars and 31 motorboats to help locals and evacuate those still stuck in high-risk areas and their property to safe places.
As many as 700 troops of Artillery Brigade 572 (MR 5) from November 28 to December 4 supported victims of the floods in the communes of An Nghia and Bok Toi of Hoai An district, Binh Dinh province. The unit evacuated 200 people from high-risk areas in Hoai An district, reinforced 46 m of dyke in Quy Nhon city and An Nhon town of Binh Dinh province, and moved 70 victims from flood-hit areas to safe places.
