PANO – The Nguyen Hue University on February 18th held the “CISM” military Sports Day for staffs, teachers, cadets and solders in the University in response to the guidelines of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), “CISM friendship through sport” and to mark the 66th anniversary of the Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th).
The annual event aims to arouse the sporting spirit among troops. This, in turn, enables soldiers to be healthy and strong to fulfill tasks in defending the nation in the new context.
Over the past years, Nguyen Hue University had many indoor and outdoor activities to promote physical strength as well as to provide military sports skills and technique for Vietnamese and international students studying at the University.
Also on February 18th, Naval Brigade 147 organised a sports day for CISM members. After the opening ceremony, staff, commissioned and non-commissioned officers, soldiers and defence workers were divided into four teams to run 2km with traditional slogans that show the strength of military forces in building and defending the nation.
