PANO - The Military Zone 1 Command and local authorities recently presented a cultural house to the San Diu ethnic minority group in Ao Lang hamlet, Linh Son commune, Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province.

The facility took 4 months to build. It was built on an area of nearly 500 sq.m, including 160 sq.m for the hall, at a cost of over VND 470 million. Money raised for the project included  VND 350 million from the zone, VND 60 million from district authorities, and the remaining amount from locals.

Ao Lang hamlet is home to 136 households with 600 San Diu ethnic minority people.

With this new facility, the commune achieved 14 out of 19 criteria for building new-styled rural areas in 2016.
