* A delegation of the Naval Region 2 Command led by its Deputy Commander Senior Captain Pham Quyet Tien visited and extended Tet greetings to the Military Command of Con Dao district under the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Military Command.

During the visit, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Dinh Chung, Second-in-Command of Con Dao district Military Command, briefed the delegation on the unit’s task performance and its preparations for the upcoming Tet festival.

On behalf of the Naval Region 2’s delegation, Senior Captain Pham Quyet Tien sent Tet greetings to the troops, wishing them and their families good health, happiness, safety and successful task accomplishment with high combat readiness posture.

On the same day, the delegation extended Tet greetings to several agencies and units in Con Dao district, including Con Dao district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee, Con Dao Border Station, Radar Stations 590 and 32, among others.

* On January 5, a mission from Naval Brigade 125 under Naval Region 2, led by its commanding officer Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Lich, extended Tet greetings and presented gifts to troops on ships performing duties of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands during the upcoming Tet 2023.

Hailing the great efforts of the ships’ crew members, Captain Lich required them to strictly observe regulations, maintain military discipline and combat readiness posture, as well as ensure safety for personnel and vehicles.

Over the past time, troops of Naval Brigade 125 have actively improved training quality, maintained combat readiness posture and ensured enough personnel for unscheduled missions.

* The same day, the Naval Region 3 Command chaired a meeting with 34 reporters and editors from press agencies accompanying the Command’s working delegation during the visits to island districts of Con Co and Ly Son.

Bringing Tet gifts to troops and islanders in Con Co and Ly Son districts

The visit was of meaningful to raise high spirit and responsibilities of provinces, cities, agencies, departments and people of all classes about the protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands as well as the effective implementation of strategies to promote the development of society, economy, defense and security.

The delegation’s visit contributed to boosting socialization, encouraging localities across the country to show their responsibilities for national sea and islands, further affirming the military-civilian solidarity.

At the meeting, leaders of the Naval Region 3 Command hoped that press agencies would enhance dissemination work on the result of Naval Region 3’s task performance and its activities held for troops and local people in Con Co and Ly Son districts during Tet festival.

In addition, press agencies should popularize outstanding collectives and individuals on duty at sea, contributing to encouraging troops and local people to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned missions.

As scheduled, Ship KN390 will ship Tet gifts, including six tons of goods, worth nearly VND 500 million, from the Naval Region 3 Command and localities to troops and islanders in Con Co and Ly Son districts between January 5 and 8 to help them enjoy a cozy Tet festival.
