With the themes “Keep the environment green, prevent plastic waste” and “Together we can protect and recover the sea,” the activities aim to call upon cadres and staff from organizations, agencies, and units in the city to raise their awareness of the importance of seas, islands and environmental protection to the national development and defense cause and to honor values of the oceans to people’s lives.
After the launching ceremony, troops of Naval Region 2 and Brigades 128 and 129 collected and classified more than four tons of waste and dredged 3km of sewerage.
These activities will contribute to embellishing the image of “Naval troops - Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” in protecting the environment and maritime resources.
