10 outstanding young troops honored this time are Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Sang (the Naval Region 4), Captain Vu Khanh Hai of Ship 373 (Brigade 162 of the Naval Region 4), Captain Dang Van Tuan (Brigade 681 of the Naval Region 2), Lieutenant Le Van Huong (Brigade 172 of the Naval Region 3), Non-commissioned officer Senior Lieutenant Tran Thi Truc Linh (the Defense Physical and Sport Centre 5 of the Navy Command's Staff), Leading Seaman Nguyen Kim Trong (Battalion 4 of the Naval Academy), Senior Lieutenant Vu Van Khuong (The Department of Politics of the Naval Region 5), Captain Cao Le Hieu (Naval Fleet 418 of Brigade 189), Lieutenant Nguyen Van Uoc (Brigade 170 of the Naval Region 1) and Captain Tran Nhat Lac (the Naval Brigade 126)
Meanwhile, five A and five B prizes were presented to 10 initiatives among 54 entries sent to the organizing board of the 6th creative prize of Heroic martyr Nguyen Phan Vinh, by 60 authors from the service's 19 constituent units.
The organizers also handed over first prizes to 12 groups and 17 contestants of the writing contest "50 Years of Naval Commandos." They were selected from nearly 52,000 entries nationwide.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Admiral Dinh Gia That, Political Commissar of the Navy, praised all awardees for their great efforts and achievements and urged them to go on with their aptitudes and initiatives ahead of the task requirements in the new context, contributing to building a regular and increasingly modernized navy.
