During his visit to military units, MR4 Commander Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh inquired after and encouraged the troops. He took the occasion to grasp their situation, especially needy recruits, thereby directing leaders of the units to create favorable conditions for new recruits so that they would try their best in task performance.

At Battalion 2 of MR4’s Military School, General Binh shared difficulties with new recruit Ho A Mong. Accordingly, Mong, a Pa Co ethnic minority, from Khe Cat hamlet, Vinh Khe commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province, is in difficult living conditions. His father passed away. Mong lives with his mother. Despite harsh living conditions, he still volunteered to join the military to do the duty of a citizen.
Accordingly, General Binh presented 100 kilograms of rice to Mong’s family, and directing affiliated unit to assign Mong to a unit stationed in Quang Tri province after he completes his military service.

New recruits in MR4 received due care from their comrades and leaders at all levels. In addition, the units also organized many activities such as instructing them on how to fold blankets and mosquito nets, briefing them on the unit’s regulations, providing health check-ups, to name but a few. Therefore, the troops are gradually adapting to the new environment.
New recruit Ly Ba Nguyen from Platoon 6, Company 2, Battalion 4, Regiment 19, Division 968, a H’mong minority in Ky Son district, Nghe An province, held that this is his first time living far from family. Before joining the military, he was really nervous. However, thanks to the care of leaders at all levels, after three weeks in the military, he gradually got used to the new environment.
Political Commissar of Division 968 Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung noted that via practical activities, the unit’s chain-of-command took care of and encouraged the troops so that they would soon adapt to the military life and focus on training missions.
