MR1 well performs incident, disaster response, search and rescue
PANO - The Military Region (MR) 1 Command held a conference on July 25 to review five years of implementing incidents, disaster response, search and rescue since 2013.
Over the past five years, party committees and chains-of-command of MR1 Command’s affiliates have boosted information dissemination, political and ideological education for troops to raise their awareness of the importance of engagement in the service. They have also observed seriously duty regulations on search and rescue, continuously improved quality of training and exercises of the service.
Notably, MR1’s units have made active preparations of forces and vehicles and closely cooperated with local party committees, authorities to carry out effectively the principle of field command, forces, vehicles, and logistics while bringing into play all sources, creating combined strength, making timely responses to any circumstances, incidents or disasters, minimizing human and property losses, creating conditions for local socio-economic development and defense-security maintenance.
In the coming time, MR1 will continue strengthening close coordination with local departments to make the search and rescue performance successful.
It will also strictly observe search and rescue duty regulations, update information about natural disasters, give timely recommendations to local party committees and authorities on well practicing all plans while preparing forces and vehicles to implement the service effectively.
