The gifts, worth VND 100 million, included four tons of rice, 400 boxes of instant noodles, 400 bottles of fish sauce, and 800 packages of soup powder, were given to 400 poor households in the area.

The program contributed to helping needy people stabilize their lives and overcome their difficulties.

Presenting gifts to COVID-19-affected households

Amid the complicated developments of COVID-19, the border post sent troops to help people in need develop their household economy.

* On June 1 and 2, a traditional liaison board of the Quang Tri provincial Border Guard, led by Major General Tran Dinh Dung, former Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, in coordination with other enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, presented gifts to needy households in the communes of Lia and Tan Thanh (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province).

150 gifts, totaling VND 50 million, were handed over to people in need. Each gift included rice, fish sauce, and other ingredients and necessities.

This was a meaningful activity, contributing to sharing difficulties with the local people.

Reportedly, earlier, the board also built a house of comradeship for 90-year-old Hoang Dinh Sau from Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province.
