The gifts consisted of oxygen cylinders, other medical equipment and a 16-seat car totally worth more than VND 1.3 billion, coming from the after-tax profit funds of military enterprises and the “Gratitude Fund” of the MND.

* Corporation 28 under the General Department of Logistics handed over six gratitude houses at a total cost of VND 420 million to martyrs’ relatives and seriously wounded soldiers in the provinces of Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh City. The corporation donated VND 70 million for the construction of each house.

* On December 14, Army Officer Training School No.1 handed over gratitude houses to the families of non-commissioned Major Dinh Thi Lanh of Battalion 15 and non-commissioned First Lieutenant Can Xuan Suu of the Department of Reconnaissance. For each family, the school supported VND 70 million.

* The Hai Duong provincial Military Command inaugurated gratitude houses for Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Sang (Vinh Mo hamlet, Le Hong commune) and martyr’s mother Dao Thi Nguyet (Thuy Lam hamlet, Doan Tung commune) in Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province. The “Gratitude Fund” of the MND supported VND 70 million for the construction cost for Sang’s house while the Military Command of Thanh Mien district donated VND 70 million for the construction of Nguyet’s house. On this occasion, the provincial command and local authorities presented a number of gifts to the two beneficiaries.

* Division 363 of the Air Defense and Air Force Service, in association with local authorities, recently handed over a gratitude house to Ngo Van Sang in Ben Quan town, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province. He is the principal one to worship his mother, a Vietnamese heroic mother, and his two brothers, who are war martyrs. To build his 60sq.m house, he received a support of VND 70 million from the MND. On the occasion of the house's inauguration, the division and local authorities also presented gifts to him.

* The Nam Dinh provincial Military Command handed over a gratitude house to Bui Thi Van, born 1946, in Quang Trung commune, Vu Ban district. She is wife of martyr Le Thanh Quan, who sacrificed his life in the anti-American resistance war. The house was built on an area of 40sq.m at a cost of VND 120 million, of which VND 70 million came from the “Gratitude Fund” of the Military Region 3 Command.
