Over the past time, the unit has thoroughly embraced higher levels' instructions and strictly implemented measures on fighting the pandemic. The unit has mobilized four medical teams, in association with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of Hanoi, to send 30 vehicles and 43 staff members to receive and move Vietnamese citizens returning from abroad to quarantine areas.

As of July 30, the Hanoi Capital Command has received and moved 18,989 citizens returning from abroad to quarantine areas. In particular, on July 29, the unit received 219 citizens coming back home from Equatorial Guinea, including 108 cases that tested positive for COVID-19, 12 recovered cases, and 21 suspected cases.

Concluding the event, Gen. Son asked the units and agencies to continue to thoroughly embrace instructions from higher levels on the implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures, while preventing the disease from spreading in their barracks.

The units tasked with receiving and isolating citizens should promote dissemination of 2019-nCoV-related information for their troops, and encourage them to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
