The seminar, entitled “Military Region 2 follows Uncle Ho’s teachings,” was co-chaired by Major General Phung Si Tan, Commander of Military Region 2; Major General Trinh Van Quyet, Political Commissar of the military region and Major General Pham Van Huan, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper.
The aim of the seminar was to continue to disseminate and embrace Ho Chi Minh’s thought, the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and law on patriotic emulation. Moreover, it also aimed to raise the awareness of troops and defense workers in the military region on emulation movements to accomplish all assigned tasks to contribute actively to the cause of defending the Fatherland in the current context.
The seminar organizers received 25 scientific papers from scientists, military generals, local leaders, researchers and officers. The papers helped reinforce scientific foundations, historical documents and practical examples that reflect vividly operational fields of the localities, organizations and units in the military region.
The papers focused on clarifying three important points of confirming the great value and meaning of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on patriotic emulation; highlighting achievements of Military Region 2 after 70 years of responding to Uncle Ho’s call for patriotic emulation and proposing solutions to promoting patriotic emulation movements.
