Accordingly, the unit requested its affiliated units to closely follow the developments of the storm; strictly maintain combat readiness and military discipline; take measures to ensure safety for troops, vehicles, barracks, weapons and military equipment; and promptly deal with unexpected situations caused by the storm.
Military Region 4 Command also instructed the affiliated units to coordinate with functional agencies to advise the Party committees and local authorities to review all areas on the risks of flash floods and landslides, especially the localities hit by the recent Storm Wipha in order to take preventive measures.
In addition, the agencies and units under Military Region 4 Command will mobilize forces and vehicles to help local authorities and people overcome the consequences of floods as well as to be ready for search and rescue missions in any circumstances that may arise.
