PANO – General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, paid visits and extended greetings to several units on February 9th, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year or Tet festival 2016.

The units are Division 301 of the Hanoi Capital High Command, Regiment 65 of Division 361 of the Air Defence and Air Force Service and Division 308 of Army Corps 1.

At the working sessions, the units’ leaders briefed General Ngo Xuan Lich on their task performances.

Accordingly, they promoted the training and combat readiness quality, while teaming up well with other units and local authorities to ensure social order and holding activities for on-duty troops to welcome the traditional Tet holiday safely.

In turn, the general highly valued their results over the past time, especially in contributing to the success of the recent 12th National Party Congress, and requested them to seriously study and follow the resolutions and instructions on defence-security tasks of the higher levels, heigghten the sense of responsibility to carry out new missions, focus on raising troops’ political stance and revolutionary vigilance, and make detailed preparations for the recruitment drive of this year and new-year training courses.

On this occasion, he wished all the troops a happy New Year.
