Military medical workers honored
PANO - On Feb. 27, in Hanoi, Central Military Hospital 108 held a meeting of its doctors and medical workers on the occasion of the 63rd Vietnam Doctors’ Day (Feb. 27, 1955-2018).

Numerous delegates, including former leaders of the hospital, the central and local ministries and sectors attended the event under the chair of Prof. Dr. Lieutenant General Mai Hong Bang, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the hospital.
Speaking at the event, General Bang recalled contributions of generations of the hospital’s doctors and medical workers over the past time. Accordingly, they promoted solidarity, unity and creativeness to overcome difficulties and fulfill all assigned missions, contributing to taking care of soldiers’ and peoples’ health. The hospital’s medical staff has increasingly studied to apply technology and technical advances into medical treatment, he added.
In 2017 alone, the hospital provided heath checkups for nearly 920,000 patients, first aid to 37,000 cases and operations for over 28,000 patients.
The hospital has determined and planned to focus on improving the quality of health care for troops and people, surmounting shortcomings and promoting medical ethics among its doctors and medical employees in 2018 and beyond.
