Preparations for upcoming grand parade reviewed
PANO - On July 31, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Head of the Parade Subcommittee, chaired a meeting on preparations for the grand parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).

Under the Ministry of National Defense’s approved plan, the Parade Subcommittee has worked closely with relevant agencies and units to finalize documents, organize training sessions, rehearsals, and ensure logistics supplies for the event.
Apart from training programs for the parade troops, the subcommittee has coordinated with reconnaissance units to map out maneuvering routes, gathering points in Hanoi before and after the parade, street parade routes. It has also proposed upgrades to key roads serving the parade.

In his concluding speech, Gen. Nghia emphasized the historic importance of the 80th anniversary celebrations. He directed all units to finalize combat readiness plans, maintain close coordination, and ensure absolute safety for personnel and equipment.
He also called for further dissemination of the parade, organization of meaningful cultural and artistic exchange activities with local people, and timely commendation of collectives and individuals with outstanding task performance.
