At the live-fire exercise

Colonel Ha Tuan Quan, MR 9’s Technical Chief, held that the installation of the new weapon system is part of the unit’s plan to upgrade assigned vehicles and equipment, contributing to maintaining combat capability. The CQ canoe is made from composite materials with a long life-span. Its 240 HP diesel engine allows the boat to travel 20 nautical miles per hour and operate in a radius of 25 nautical miles.

In addition, the canoe was also installed with  weapons such as AK-47 rifle, PKMS and RPD machine guns.

The live-fire exercise was successful in terms of the weapon’s effectiveness and other technical criteria.
