Meanwhile, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung handed over insignia for the contribution to the Planning and Investment sector to leaders of the MND, the General Department of Political Affairs, and the General Staff.
Speaking at the event, General Phan Van Giang expressed his delight at being honored with the insignia for the contribution to the Planning and Investment sector and was pleased to present the insignia for the contribution to VPA’s building to leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
He also affirmed that this was the recognition of the Central Military Commission and the MND for their important contribution to the cause of building and development of the VPA, particular in planning and investment. Therefore, the MND has well implemented the advisory role to the Party and State on the military and defense work and the protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands.
The defense leader hoped that in the time to come, the Ministry of Planning and Investment would continue to give recommendations to the Party, the National Assembly and the Government on mechanisms and policies for investment and capital allocation to build a national defense posture, and a strong VPA, meeting the task requirements in the new situation and helping the MND to remove difficulties and obstacles in investment and budget work.

For his part, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that as the Party and State's general advisory body on strategy and planning, in any circumstances, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has closely coordinated with the MND and relevant agencies to give advice to higher levels on many policies, mechanisms and strategies, prioritizing investment resources to fully and timely meet investment requirements to enhance defense potential, especially requirements for key projects of the military, contributing to building an elite, compact, strong and modern VPA.
