Vietnamese and Lao military units hold activities to mark VPA’s foundation day
PANO - Military units of Vietnam and Laos collaborated to hold practical activities to support people living along the shared borderline on December 13.
These activities were to mark the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day.

In particular, Defense-Economic Unit 92 and Military Hospital 268 of Military Region 4 provided free health check-ups and medicine for, presented gifts to more than 100 residents of Ca Lo village in Sekong province. The organizing panel also equipped locals with methods to protect their health and prevent diseases.
On this occasion, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command, the provincial Border Guard Command, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank’s branch in Hue, and the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel)’s branch in Thua Thien Hue presented 40 gift packages, worth VND 40 million in total, to disadvantaged families from Laos’ Salavan and Sekong provinces and Thua Thien Hue’s A Luoi district.

These activities aimed to strengthen the special Vietnam - Laos friendship and solidarity and foster collaboration between units from Vietnam’s Thua Thien Hue and Laos’ Salavan and Sekong provinces, contributing to building a borderline of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation, and development.
