Two Indian naval ships docked at
Haiphong port on April 17, beginning as a friendship visit to
Vietnam.
The Ins Kora and Ins Kirpan are under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Ajay Kochhar and Rahul Parmar, and have a total of 342 sailors aboard.
During their five-day visit, the colonels and crews will pay courtesy visits to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of Navy and the Command of Military Zone 3.
They also have friendly volleyball matches with Vietnamese naval soldiers, visit local orphanages and landscapes in Haiphong city.
This is the first visit to Haiphong by the Indian Navy’s ships since 1958.
