General Staff rolls out missions for last month of 2020
PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, on November 27, held a conference, chaired by its Chief and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, to review its task performance in November and roll out missions for December of 2020.
The event saw the participation of its Deputy Chiefs Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Lieutenant Nguyen Van Nghia, and Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh.
During the conference, delegates reviewed the unit’s task performance in November. Reportedly, the General Staff has directed units throughout the military to implement and fulfill all assigned missions in November, follow local situations and maintain combat readiness while staying ready for any circumstance.

It also instructed all military units to organize set training missions as scheduled, command and staff drills, and carry out live-fire exercises. Meanwhile, the General Staff deployed troops to implement search and rescue and disaster relief missions.
Addressing the conference, General Giang hailed the efforts of units throughout the military for their excellent task implementation in November, contributing to fulfilling all assigned missions.
For the final month of this year, General Giang underscored that affiliated units should strictly maintain combat readiness to be ready in any situations, closely work with relevant forces to ensure security and absolute safety for major events.
Furthermore, they were also urged to carry out training missions according to set plans, while the Border Guard Command needs to take measures to prevent smuggling and trade fraud along the borderline, especially at the end of the year, among others.
