General Staff collects opinions to improve a project on renewing training program
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, chaired a conference on June 6 in Hanoi to collect opinions for a project on renewing training programs for officers at all levels to meet task requirements in the current context.

At the conference, having listened to the major contents of the project, delegates contributed their ideas to the project on renewing the training program for officers at detachment, tactical, campaign, and strategic levels.
Addressing the conference, General Giang emphasized the need to renovate the current training process. He highly appreciated ideas and opinions of delegates at the conference. He acknowledged that delegates discussed the real situation and shortcomings of the current programs and made constructive recommendations to the project, which will be perfected and submitted to higher levels for approval.
In realizing the Ministry of National Defense’s directives on renewing training programs at military academies and universities, the General Staff instructed the Department of Military School Management and the Department of Personnel and relevant agencies to draft the project, conduct surveys on the quality of graduates of military schools, and hold seminars to collect comments to complete the project.
