GDP Vice Chairman chairs council meeting to select sculptural artworks
PANO - The General Department of Political Affairs convened a meeting of the Council for the Selection of Sculptural Artworks to review the first batch of 1:1-scale statue prototypes for display at the Vietnam Military History Museum on August 10 at Ha Noi University of Industrial Fine Arts.

At the meeting, council members viewed eight 1:1-scale sculptural artworks in person. Council members offered comments on the themes of the artworks and conducted overall assessments of each piece, including its height, dimensions and thickness. They also closely examined details ranging from the characters and costumes to decorative motifs, ensuring their appropriateness to the respective historical periods.

In his concluding remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To acknowledged and commended the Vietnam Military History Museum for closely coordinating with relevant agencies, artists and groups of artists to produce the prototypes presented at the meeting.

He required the artists and groups of artists to incorporate the council members’ feedback on the overall structure and details, as well as the costumes, demeanor and emotional expressions of each character in the artworks.
