Regiment 48’s troops join voluntary blood donation program

With the spirit of sharing blood to help save and treat patients in need, more than 140 officers and soldiers of Regiment 48 took part in the event.

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 48 participate in the voluntary blood donation program.

The program was organized strictly and effectively by Regiment 48 and Military Hospital 211, as regulated and with absolute safety. The participants received health check-ups, counseling, and guidance on what to do before, during, and after donating blood. As a result, more than 140 blood units were collected, contributing to easing blood shortage of Military Hospital 211.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tu, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 48, said that voluntary blood donation is a deeply humane activity that has been actively embraced by the regiment’s officers and soldiers over the past years. He noted that the activity not only helps supplement blood supplies for emergency aid and patient treatment, but also gives each officer and soldier an opportunity to raise their sense of responsibility toward the community, thereby promoting the noble virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new era.
