Reportedly, in August, the Party and political work was comprehensively implemented in the whole military, while political education and dissemination was also boosted, especially on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
In addition, the GDP organized a conference to review five-year implementation of Resolution No.35 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, and the fight against wrongful and hostile views in the new context.
Especially, Party organizations at all levels strictly conducted the Conclusion of the Central Military Commission on directing troops to implement military and defense as well as Party building tasks in the first six months of 2023 and mapping out missions for the second half of the year. Furthermore, troops were also well taken care of so as to absolutely trust in the Party, State, CMC, Ministry of National Defense and be ready in any circumstances.
Concluding the conference, General Cuong hailed the efforts of the GDP’s affiliated units in overcoming difficulties to fulfill all assigned missions. Regarding tasks in September, General Cuong requested the units to regularly grasp situations, implement all set plans, focus on political education, and encourage troops to overcome difficulties to accomplish assigned missions.
Besides, the units should build up plans to mark the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People's Army, 35th anniversary of the whole people's defense day, and 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 2024; raise quality of cultural and artistic activities, broadcast TV series about Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context; and ensure personnel, mass mobilization and policy work, to name but a few.
