GDL launches “Good military medical unit” contest
PANO - The General Department of Logistics (GDL) on July 18 opened a contest themed “Good military medical unit” with the participation of its 20 affiliated units.
Criteria for a good military medical unit include good military medical service for combat, combat readiness and unit-building missions; scientific, hygienic and healthy lifestyle of troops; good health management, emergency and treatment; good building of Vietnamese traditional medicine garden and good combination of traditional and modern medicines and pharmaceutics; good management and use of medicines, medical equipment; and good practices of five techniques on emergency aid and emergency transportation of injured people.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Ngo Thanh Thu, Deputy Director of the GDL, said that the contest was among breakthroughs in training of the military medical sector.
The contest aimed to check leadership capacity in the military medical service and to raise sense of responsibility of medical military personnel, contributing to improving healthcare for troops to meet task requirements in the current period.
The organizing panel will award one first, one second and one third prizes to outstanding participating teams in mid-September this year.
