Free health check-ups and medicines for policy beneficiaries in Can Tho
PANO - A delegation of the organizing board of the ongoing 12th Whole Military Television Festival, the Hoa Hao-Medic Can Tho General Hospital and Sao Mai An Giang Group, on September 16 provided free health checkups and medicines for 400 policy beneficiaries, needy people and presented scholarships to poor students in Dinh Mon commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city.
These meaningful activities are part of the 12th Whole Military Television Festival from Sept. 16 to 23 in the Mekong Delta city.

Additionally, twenty two high-profile doctors with modern equipment instructed local people how to prevent common diseases and raised their awareness of health care.
The delegation also presented 400 gifts to policy beneficiaries and 20 scholarships to needy students in Dinh Mon commune; visited and presented gifts to four families of Vietnamese heroic mothers in the city.
Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Kim Ton, Director of the Military Broadcasting Center said the center has carried out various meaningful social activities together with other military and civilian agencies and units in recent years.
Ton emphasized that such activities have shown the responsibility of troops in the whole the military towards the community, and in doing so, the military wants to pay gratitude to policy beneficiary families and national contributors.
