Enlisted youths in Da Nang tested for COVID-19
PANO – More than 1,000 youths from the 2021 enlistment drive in Da Nang City have had their samples taken for COVID-19 testing before they are handed over to 11 units under the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5.
This was one of the city’s efforts to prevent COVID-19 from spreading in military units in the region.

According to the municipal Military Command, to ensure safety for youths, the city took numerous measures to enhance COVID-19 prevention and control. In addition, participating enlistees strictly observed COVID-19 prevention and control regulations, including wearing a face mask, disinfecting their hands with sanitizer, and following social distancing.
On the same day, the Military Region 5 Command announced that all 11 localities in Military Region 5 are ready to hand over their youths to military units. All enlisted youths showed their determination to fulfil all assigned missions. Earlier, local Party Committees and authorities presented gifts, worth from VND 300,000 to VND 1,500,000, to each youth.
Localities and military units also worked on plans to ensure the success of the event while protecting enlistees’ health amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
