Deputy Chief of General Staff inspects Artillery Corps
PANO - On March 7, a delegation from the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, led by its Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, conducted an inspection of combat readiness at the Artillery Corps.
The delegation included representatives from various agencies under the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army.
The inspection covered several aspects, including the training for shifting combat readiness postures of the Artillery Corps from regular to higher status, the documents related to combat readiness posture shifting, the actions of the commanding staff and units during the shifting, and the practical mobilization of forces and equipment.

According to the initial assessment by the inspection delegation, the Artillery Corps has excelled in its preparations, closely following the directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense regarding combat readiness shifting. The Corps demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility in implementing combat readiness shifting.
The inspection delegation advised the Artillery Corps to promptly rectify any deficiencies, refine documents for combat readiness transitions for consistency as per higher-level directives. They emphasized ongoing training to boost the operational skills of officers across ranks, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of the local situation. This is vital for offering timely proposals to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense for effective artillery deployment to meet the requirements of missions.
The delegation stressed the significance of research and development in combat tactics, utilizing modern science and technology in training and equipment maintenance, and improving awareness and responsibility among officers and soldiers in terms of combat readiness.
