General Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) made the request when attending a ceremony to see off 65 soldiers of 22 agencies and units under the GDP on January 19 in Hanoi before their demobilization.

During their two-year military service, these soldiers did their utmost to complete all assignments. Two of them were admitted to the Party, while 35 others were awarded the title “excellent soldiers in the “Determination to win” emulation movement.”

Addressing the event, General Can applauded the demobilized soldiers’ good results. He urged them to join hands in building local reserve forces and to stay ready to undertake any missions.

During their military service in the Ho Chi Minh City Command, demobilized soldiers were provided with basic knowledge of military, politics, logistical and technical services. 100 percent of the soldiers accomplished their missions and observed military discipline. Attentively, 75 soldiers were admitted to the Party and over 200 soldiers received different awards.

On the occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Command honored 24 soldiers with outstanding achievements in task implementation and the municipal People’s Committee presented each soldier a gift worth VND 1.5 million.

Similarly, 201 soldiers discharged from the Son La provincial Military Command achieved their training requirements. 85.06 percent of them got flying colors in training. In addition, 23 soldiers were admitted to the Party while 31 soldiers were given the title “excellent soldiers.”

All 726 demobilized soldiers of Military Region 2’s Regiment 82 strictly observed training regulations, mastered assigned weaponry and equipment, and closely coordinated with one another in combat formations. Furthermore, they all met training requirements with flying colors and absolute safety.
