PANO – The Ho Chi Minh City Command on January 30th held a meeting for 420 soldiers who had accomplished their military service at the command’s constituent units. Among them, 54 are party members, 35 are excellent youths, while 86 others are squads’ cadres.
On the occasion, the command handed over the Ministry of National Defence’s gifts to the demobilized and awarded 20 troops with excellent results while serving the army.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the city People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang said that the city instructed localities to create favourable conditions for the demobilized to come back to their lives as normal and apply what they learned in building their hometowns and the country.
The same day, the Lam Dong province Military Command met with 48 soldiers who had braved difficulties to complete assigned missions. Among the demobilized, five were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam, and six others were presented with certificates of merit by the provincial Military Committee for their achievements. Each soldier received allowance, a vocational training card and a Tet (Lunar New Year) gift.
