Defense Ministry reviews implementation of administrative reform in 2016
PANO – Lieutenant General Le Chiem, Deputy Defense Minister on December 29 chaired the Ministry of National Defense’s meeting to review the implementation of administrative reform in 2016.

During the year, the Central Military Commission and Defense Minister gave good instructions to defense agencies and military units on implementation of the administrative reform, which saw positive results. The steering board for administrative reform of the Defense Ministry issued various legal documents on military and defense affairs in accordance with the Constitution, cut some verbose administrative procedures, focused on building a project on adjusting the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army in the period of 2016-2020 and the years to come, and finalize documents on public finance.
Lauding achievements in carrying out the work, General Chiem asked the General Staff, the General Department of Politics, and the Department of Finance to continue completing legal documents on administrative reform in the army, making contributions to the fight against wastefulness.
Meanwhile, the Office of Defense Ministry was requested to inspect other agencies’ and units’ implementation of the work. Department of Legislation should apply information technology to raise the efficiency of the implementation of administrative reform and other tasks.
