At the conference

Presently, the work for women advancement and gender equality in the military has been comprehensively implemented with timely adjustments and operational measures in line with political missions of each unit and the complicated developments of COVID-19 pandemic.

The units’ Party committees and chains-of-command have focused on developing female staff to increase the number of women in the units’ leadership.

Speaking at the event, General Van required the Military Women's Board to summarize the participants’ opinions to complete their draft report, with a focus on major missions for the rest of the year. The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics also asked the board to closely collaborate with relevant agencies to prepare for a future meeting to review the action plan for women advancement and gender equality in the military in the 2016-2020 term.
