At the working session, General Phan Van Giang congratulated the unit on their achievements over the past time, stressing that troops of Po Hen Border Station has promoted its role and responsibilities in all assigned missions, contributing to firmly protecting the national sovereignty, border security, and social order while providing timely recommendations for the local authorities to build strong whole-people's border posture.

He required the unit’s troops to continue promoting virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and traditions of their unit as well as overcoming hardships to complete all assigned tasks. He asked the border station’s Party committee and chain-of-command to maintain combat readiness, adjust relevant documents, grasp all situations in the locality, conduct border patrol regularly, fight against border crimes and enhance defense external affairs with border forces of neighboring countries.
The defense minister urged the unit’s leadership to build firm defensive area and strong political system, collaborate with local authorities to well implement socio-economic development programs in line with defense - security reinforcement.

After the working session, General Phan Van Giang presented gifts to Mong Cai City Military Command and the border stations of Po Hen, Bac Son, and Quang Duc under the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard Command.
* The same day, General Phan Van Giang offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Memorial Site for Po Hen Heroic Martyrs.

The defense minister and the delegation of the Ministry of National Defense presented gifts to local policy beneficiaries, needy families and disadvantaged children in Mong Cai city and Hai Ha district.
