In a cozy atmosphere, General Phan Van Giang inquired after and wished the former defense minister good health so as to make further contribution to the task of military building.
On behalf of the CMC, MND, he informed General Pham Van Tra on the achievements of the whole military in 2022. Accordingly, troops in the whole military have overcome difficulties to accomplish all assigned missions. They have promoted their core role in the cause of national defense and contributed to socio-economic development and ensuring political security in the country, deserving the trust of the Party, State, and people.
Especially, in 2022, the MND has also successfully held many important events, such as the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022, 30th ASEAN Army Rifle Meet, leaving deep impression on international friends.
General Phan Van Giang also briefed the former defense leader on the important tasks of the military, expressing his hope that General Pham Van Tra would further make contribution to the cause of building the revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern military.

For his part, General Pham Van Tra thanked the CMC, MND and General Phan Van Giang for the visit on the occasion of national big events. He also congratulated troops in the whole military on the achievements, hoping that under the sound leadership of the Party, the military would excellently fulfill all assigned missions, meeting all requirements in the cause of national construction and building in the current context.
