In the letter, the defense chief sent best wishes to all former and current cadres and members of the Women’s Union of the military.
He wrote that last year, under the leadership of the CMC, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Department of Political Affairs, and the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee, directly chains-of-command at all levels in the whole military as well as with the support, care and effective cooperation from agencies and units in and outside the military, Military Women’s Union’s cadres and members promoted the good qualities and glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army and the Vietnamese women’s “Heroic, indomitable, loyal, courageous” tradition.

He spoke highly of their solidarity, creativity, overcoming of difficulties, effective performance of women’s work and women’s movement in the military and excellent completion of all assigned missions.
The defense minister also emphasized their active participation in training, combat readiness, scientific research, lecture-giving, production, U.N. peacekeeping operations and their due attention to building happy families, contributing to the military building, defense consolidation, firm protection of the Fatherland, deserving the commendation of the CMC and the MND that military women are “patriotic, united, creative, faithful, courageous.”
Gen. Giang applauded them for their achievements, utmost efforts and high determination over the past year. He expressed his hope that in this year and the following years, they will continue to bring into play the traditions and attainments, enhance the “studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style” movement and the emulation movement “Military women: Wisdom, Courage, Completion of All Tasks, Building Happy Families, Deserving to be Uncle Ho’s Soldiers in the New Situation.”
He wished them to continue to engage in the building of strong and healthy party organizations, comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical agencies and units, and excellently fulfill all assignments, deserving the trust of the Party, State, military and people in them.
At the end of the letter, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang wished them good health, happiness, and constant development.
