The event was attended by Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) General Luong Cuong; Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong; and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong.
During the event, delegates commented on a project to hold a military parade in celebration of 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign (May 7, 1954-2024).
Addressing the conference, General Phan Van Giang asked the General Staff to collect all proposals of the delegates to complete the project and then submit it to the Defense Minister for approval.
In addition, the General Staff should assign relevant units to rolling out the project, along with closely teaming up with functional agencies under ministries and sectors. Meanwhile, the General Department of Political Affairs has to direct its affiliated units to boost dissemination and organize activities ahead of the meaningful anniversary.
Moreover, the Defense Minister requested the General Departments of Logistics and Technical Services to be well-prepared in terms of resources, vehicles, and equipment for forces to join the parade with absolute safety.
