Defense leader inspects protection for 13th National Party Congress
PANO – A delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, led by Sen. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, inspected forces of the Hanoi Capital Military Command on Jan. 4 as part of an effort to safeguard the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.
Reportedly, the leadership of the Hanoi Capital Military Command has embraced and seriously implemented higher levels’ instructions on conducting regular exercises for participating forces to protect the 13th National Party Congress.

The forces are carefully selected, as required by their superiors, for the parade blocks, standing blocks, blocks of vehicles and commando forces.
All equipment and vehicles are carefully prepared and meet adequate technical standards. The relevant units strictly maintained combat readiness and promptly provided advice for the local authorities and Party committees on dealing with all emerging situations.
Speaking to the military command’s leadership, General Giang applauded their efforts over the past time, asking them to complete the preparations to safeguard the Congress.
He required relevant forces to follow all situations and closely collaborate together to fulfil their assigned missions.
