At the house handover ceremony

The 70-square meter house was built at a total cost of over VND 200 million, in which, Army Corps 15 supported VND 80 million while the economic-defense unit sent troops to help build the house.

During the handover ceremony, the unit also organized a twinning program for four pairs of households, and presented them with many gifts.

Reportedly, Defense-economic Regiment 710 is stationed in four communes of Ia Mo, Ia Lau, Ia Ga, and Ia Pior (Chu Prong district) with the ethnic minorities accounting for 80 percent of the population. The communes also have 22km of shared borderline with Cambodia. Therefore, locals are still facing many difficulties in terms of socio-economic infrastructure and living standards while political security, social order and safety situation are complicated.

A twinning program is held at the event.

In order to consolidate and enhance defense and security posture in the locality, the unit’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command have prioritized recruitment of local ethnic minorities as workers while implementing many social welfare programs at the same time.
