Defense-economic missions care for troops and people
PANO – On implementing the Central Military Commission’s directive on military medicine activities of defense-economic missions, over the past years, each defense-economic mission has erected from one to three military-civilian infirmaries and closely worked with localities to care for troops’ and local people’s health.
Defense-economic mission 778 supports needy people in Dak O commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province
Since 1999, military-civilian infirmaries have provided health check-ups for over two million people and received over 200 thousand patients. Infirmaries of economic-defense missions have also trained medical staff and opened 65 training courses for nearly 2,000 people.
In addition, military hospitals also sent their doctors to economic-defense missions to help check health, provide medicines for locals and equipment for medical stations with a total cost of nearly VND 1.4 trillion.
