PANO – A delegation led by Minister of National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh on March 25th visited the Air Defence-Air Force Service.

Having been briefed on the service’s implementation of training and combat readiness missions over the past time, General Thanh praised troops’ achievements and efforts in studying and applying technology and mastering weapons and military equipment to raise combat readiness capability, as well as in carrying out policy work to improve troops’ living standards.

The Defence Minster asked the service to focus on training officers and urged units under the service to continuously grasp the Party’s guidelines, pay attention to boosting unity among troops, and build comprehensively strong units. They were also requested to purchase equipment in accordance with reality and demand, strictly carry out training missions, ensure combat readiness, manage and firmly protect airspace, as well as come up with plans to train officers with high professionalism and skills for the mission of building a modern service in the coming time.

At the meeting, representatives of the Defence Ministry also answered the service’s queries and put forward some measures to the concerned issues.
